We are excited to offer
after school electives to students from the Arrow community and those outside the Arrow community for the 2021 - 2022 school year. |
Electives offeredArt (all grades): students will be taught to understand and express art elements and concepts, art history, and use of a variety of art mediums/ disciplines.
Music (all grades): students will be taught to understand and express music theory with a focus on voice in the lower elementary grades and learn to play an instrument (ukulele/recorder) in the upper grades. Fitness (all grades): students will be led through fitness activities to help students obtain a general understanding of different sports and wellness concepts. Students will get exercise, learn about teamwork, and be exposed to a variety of exercise/sport techniques. STEM (all grades): students will be led through STEM projects to help students obtain a general understanding in science, technology, engineering, and math concepts. Spanish (K-3rd): students will be led through Spanish lessons and projects to help students obtain a proficiency in Spanish appropriate to their age level. The teacher will help students understand beginning speaking, reading, writing, and history of the Spanish language Latin (4th-6th): students will be taught to understand beginning Latin structure and its connection to other languages. Ballet (K-1st): students will be taught to understand and express beginning ballet concepts and grow in their motor skills and spatial awareness as well as how to perform. Theater (2nd-3rd): students will grow in their acting skills, improvising skills, character expression, and writing their own theater pieces. Life Skills (4th-6th): students will complete projects and be taught to understand basic cooking concepts, finance management, tool use, first aid, emotional intelligence, cleaning, etc. |

Classes will begin Monday, September 13th. Classes will not be held on the following days:
during school breaks, early release days, no school days, co - teacher conference days.

Please note that all fees (class fees, supply fees, etc.) related to electives are non-refundable.

Class Fee: $320 per elective + supply fee (about $11.50 per class session)
Family Registration Fee: $30
T-Shirt Fee (per student): $15
Supply Fees
Supply Fees will differ between electives depending on materials needed in order to participate in the class:
Art: $50
Music: $30 (K/1)
$20 + purchase a recorder (2/3 grade) (teacher will supply link)
$20 + purchase a ukulele (4/5/6 grade) (teacher will supply link)

Ballet: $45 + purchase ballet slippers

PAYMENT OPTIONS
By signing up for electives parents agree to pay the full class and fee amount. Departure from the school or classes at any point during the school year does not alter this policy, the full amount left will be due immediately upon departure from Arrow Prep electives. Full amount must be paid even if a student misses class for any and all reasons including but not limited to sickness, travel, moving residences, etc. Registration Fees, Supply Fees, and Class Fees are non-refundable.
