STEM INSTRUCTOR

Arrow Preparatory Academy seeks an outstanding STEM instructor who is committed to teach, nurture, personify our core values, embrace our vision and mission, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment with both students and parents.  Our instructors seek God first and provide a truly unique educational approach that is centered around the development of mind, heart and character.

We are looking for a teacher or teacher(s) that can teach 2 STEM classes across elementary grade levels K-7th. The STEM teacher will lead students through STEM projects to help students obtain a general understanding in STEM concepts. Lessons will often be supplemental to core class science and history lessons. The teacher will be responsible for outlining the curriculum and making sure it is developmentally appropriate for each age level.

• Love God and have a passionate heart for education
• ​Experience working with children of varying ages
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Professional experience and/ or qualification in any STEM field
• ​Punctual, diligent, persistent and ability to adapt

  • Provide the best possible educational environment for all children regardless of their learning ability or learning style
  • Create weekly lesson plans that are age appropriate in content and skill level for each age group
  • Plan projects to display and participate in Spring Showcase
  • Execute STEM projects while staying within the budget given by administration
  • Utilize effective communication skills to motivate and inspire students and create a peaceful classroom environment
  • Excellent time management skills
• School Involvement
  • Cooperation with administration in policies, etc.
  • Able to maintain a clean, organized classroom 
  • Monitor attendance
  • Assist with student pick- up

Salary/Time Commitment:

• Compensation commensurate to experience and qualifications. This is a contract position.
• Paycheck will be administered by direct deposit on the 15th and and last day of each month.
